In-House Cancer Pharmacy Services for Maximum Effectiveness, Convenience and Safety
The appropriateness and effectiveness of your cancer treatment are essential to our mission, which is to help you beat cancer and get on with your life. For your chemotherapy treatments to be appropriate for you and effective, they must be the right compound, precisely prepared, correctly administered, and vigilantly followed. It’s also helpful if they are conveniently accessible and backed by credentials, expertise and first-rate service.
Making it convenient to get specialized cancer and chemotherapy medications.
RCCA’s Central Jersey Division dispenses oral chemotherapy and supporting medications. These are medications that aren’t available from the typical corner pharmacy, and they require informed, experienced counseling when being dispensed to patients. Our pharmacists have a deep understanding of interactions with other substances, what to expect, what to watch for and more. They are here to answer questions, help you get what you need and make sure you have all the necessary information and assistance. In the event patients are in need of copay assistance, we provide services to secure funding by contacting copay and/or pharmaceutical company patient assistance programs.
Trust Central NJ pharmacy professionals with focused, specific expertise.
RCCA-CJD’s national certified oncology pharmacy technicians prepare chemotherapy medications. They have years of experience and are trained to maintain accuracy in the preparation of all treatments. Dedicated, caring and responsible, they are committed to the best care of each of our patients.
Advanced, cancer-specific pharmacy expertise integrated into your care.
In addition to convenience, RCCA-CJD’s in-house pharmacy provides a number of important benefits for your care. First and foremost, all of our care — protocols, processes, treatment plans — is designed with doctor input… including our doctor of pharmacy, Eileen R. Peng, PharmD.
Dr. Peng, an expert in drug therapy, is central to our ability to offer the highest standard of cancer care. She helps ensure the safe, appropriate and effective use of complex treatment regimens by:
- Evaluating current therapies
- Reviewing treatment plans
- Developing protocol
- Being involved in policy and procedure decisions
- Focusing on — and advocating for — patients’ best interests
Have confidence in your cancer care.
